You don’t need to have everything figured out before taking the next step. I’ll meet you where you are and help you look at what you’re going through with a fresh perspective, greater self-understanding, and a little more grace for yourself along the way.
Our work may include better understanding your emotions and patterns, recognizing strengths you may have overlooked, developing practical ways to cope with stress, and exploring what meaningful self-care actually looks like in your life. My hope is that you leave therapy with greater self-awareness, more confidence in yourself, and useful tools for navigating challenges and relationships.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Eastern Connecticut State University and am currently completing my Master of Social Work at George Mason University. My experience as a military spouse has given me a personal understanding of the transitions, adjustments, uncertainty, and family dynamics that can accompany military life.
I believe everyone deserves support without judgment or shame. You are allowed to not always be okay, and asking for help is a sign of strength. I also believe that difficult news does not become easier simply because we avoid it. Honesty, transparency, and being truly listened to can be meaningful parts of healing.
Maybe life has changed in ways you did not expect, or you have been so focused on taking care of everyone else that you are no longer sure what you need. Perhaps you feel overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, or simply ready to understand your patterns and relationships more deeply. You do not need a perfectly defined problem or goal to begin therapy. We can explore that together.
My style is warm, supportive, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I genuinely enjoy connecting with people and learning about the experiences that have shaped them. I want therapy to feel like a place where you can be honest, let your guard down, and show up as yourself without worrying about saying the “right” thing.
I work with individuals and couples using trauma-informed, person-centered, and holistic approaches. This means I will consider the whole of who you are—not only the challenge that brought you to therapy, but also your relationships, experiences, strengths, circumstances, and the parts of your life that give you meaning. Therapy is never one-size-fits-all, so we will work together to determine what feels most helpful for you.
On a personal note…
I am inspired by people. I believe everyone has something to learn and something to teach, and that we all benefit when we help one another along the way. Kindness is free, grace matters, and there will inevitably be a time when each of us needs both. Those beliefs shape the way I move through the world and the way I show up with my clients.
I am happiest outside—especially anywhere near the ocean. I love walking, hiking, kayaking, paddleboarding, and collecting shark teeth. There is something about being near the water that helps me slow down, clear my mind, and feel grounded again.
Although I treasure quiet time to read and recharge, I am also very people-oriented. I love golfing, spending time with family and friends, and being surrounded by a group of people I care about. Laughter is one of my favorite things, and I believe it can bring lightness and connection even during difficult seasons.
One idea I return to often is, “You do not have to have everything figured out before taking the next step.” Growth does not have to happen all at once. Sometimes progress begins with being willing to ask for support, consider a different lens, and take one small step toward whatever comes next.
