Hello! I’m Francine, and I’m truly thrilled to be a part of the wonderful Mindful Therapy team. It brings me great joy to contribute to such a meaningful and supportive environment.
I hold a Master of Social Work from Southern Connecticut State University, alongside a Brain Health Professional Certification from Amen Clinics. My focus is on helping adults facing challenges like anxiety, ADHD, and OCD through a strength-based approach. I pride myself on fostering a safe, judgment-free environment where clients can express their emotions and work toward healing and personal growth.
My therapeutic style is warm, supportive, and highly collaborative. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and integrate brain health principles into our sessions, recognizing how mental and physical well-being intertwine. I create a comfortable space for clients to explore their feelings while we identify core issues and set actionable goals. Each session is tailored to equip clients with practical tools they can apply beyond our time together, promoting resilience and improved quality of life.
I’m a strong advocate for mental health awareness and believe everyone deserves access to tools and resources for their mental wellness. My ability to connect with clients comes from my empathy, active listening skills, and multicultural sensitivity as a Latina. I’ve found that being present and engaged fosters trust, enabling genuine connections that support clients throughout their journeys.
Through our work together, clients develop practical coping skills, gain clarity around their issues, and build confidence as they navigate life. When they finish with me, they leave equipped with tools to maintain their mental wellness and effectively handle future challenges.
On a personal note…
I absolutely love Korean barbecue, swimming, and I even belong to the Ukrainian Pysanky Art Club, where I explore the art of traditional Easter egg decorating. My go-to self-care practice involves spending time outdoors—whether hiking, gardening, or simply taking a leisurely walk in nature. One of my favorite quotes is, “Healing is not linear.” This resonates with my belief that progress can be messy, and it’s essential to embrace every step of the journey, no matter how small.
Ultimately, I believe the key to achieving mental health goals lies in a strong therapeutic alliance based on trust and collaboration. I foster this growth by actively seeking feedback from clients and ensuring our dialogue remains open and adaptive to their evolving needs. My inspiration for working in mental health comes from a deep desire to help others navigate their challenges and find fulfillment. Together, we’ll create a safe and supportive environment that empowers you on your journey to lasting change.
