Hi! I am Marketa!
Hi, I’m [Your Name], a mental health therapist dedicated to supporting your journey toward healing and growth. I hold a Master of Social Work from George Mason University and have completed specialized training through the Psychoanalytic Fellowship Program at the Washington Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis, as well as a postgraduate fellowship with the Contemporary Freudian Society. My background also includes a Bachelor's in Psychology from SUNY Saratoga Springs.
With an eclectic approach, I blend techniques like CBT, Psychodynamic therapy, Person-Centered work, DBT, ACT, and Mindfulness-Based practices. I believe in meeting you where you are—listening with compassion and tailoring our work to your unique needs. My goal is not just to address symptoms but to explore the underlying causes of anxiety and depression, helping you find emotional balance, purpose, and resilience.
I work with a diverse range of clients, including young adults, parents, and the elderly. Whether you're navigating life changes, managing stress, or seeking personal fulfillment, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
While everyone experiences pain, we are the only ones who can move ourselves toward balance and inner peace. Healing beings with the acceptance that life can be difficult. During your personal journey, I will hold space for your pain in a safe environment so you can learn, grow, and alleviate your own suffering.
On a peronsal note…
Outside of therapy, I’m a European/Military spouse, avid skier, and someone who finds peace in traveling, walking, yoga, and connecting with friends. A quote that inspires me is, “All is and will be well,” and I believe that curiosity and willingness to change are key to achieving mental wellness.
If you're ready to explore, grow, and create a more fulfilling life, I’d love to work with you.
